1. Introduction
Welcome to AFSAL, G.K. 合同会社 (“AFSAL”, “we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our platform, website, and services related to scholarship matching (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Who We Are & Contact

3. Eligibility
The Services are intended for individuals aged 16 and over. The Services are not intended for anyone under 16. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Your Account
You may need an account to use some features. You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information, maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and all activities under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
5. User Responsibilities (Acceptable Use)
You agree you will not use the Services for:
- unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activities
- posting or uploading content that is false, misleading, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise unlawful
- distributing malware
- attempting to gain unauthorized access
- disrupting or overloading the Services
- scraping or harvesting data except as permitted by our features
- reverse-engineering or attempting to extract source code or models except where allowed by law
- impersonating any person or entity
We may take appropriate action (including suspension or termination) for violations.
6. User-Generated Content
If you submit or upload content (for example, documents, comments, data) (“User Content”), you retain ownership of your rights in that content. You grant AFSAL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, reproduce, process, analyze, adapt, and display your User Content as necessary to:
- operate and provide the Services, including creating scholarship matches and recommendations
- operating and improving the Services
- training and maintaining the machine-learning systems that power the Services
Model training is required to use AFSAL. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share. You are responsible for your User Content. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
7. Intellectual Property
The Services and all content, features, and functionality (excluding User Content) are owned by AFSAL or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Third-Party Services
We may rely on third-party providers, including hosting, authentication, analytics, and AI services. Your use of any third-party service integrated into the Services may be subject to that provider’s terms. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services.
9. Scholarship Information and No Guarantees
Scholarship listings and recommendations may come from third-party sources and can change without notice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability, or suitability of any scholarship information, nor do we guarantee any award, funding, or outcome.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our discretion, including where we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud or illegal behavior, or your actions adversely impact the Services or other users. You may stop using the Services at any time and may delete your account via the dashboard.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or reliability. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AFSAL and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AFSAL and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your User Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Services are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Tokyo, Japan for all disputes that we are unable to resolve informally.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-product notice). The updated Terms will be effective on the date stated in the notice. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
